Stratisphere tower rollercoaster in las vegas?

What happened to the roller coaster on the top of the straitphere…i just came back from vegas and the other three rides r still there but i could not get an answer on why the coaster is no longer up there

Gone … too many problems with it.One time it came off the track while I was in line to go on it. Needless to say … I never did go on it and would never after that.

    What roller coaster, i have been there 2 times 2006 2007 and there are only the 3 classics ones, no roller coaster?

    They took it down in early 2006 to put in a new observation deck.

    Consider it a blessing that the Stratosphere took it down. The stratosphere roller coasters didn’t have the best safety. It happened more than once the coaster malfunctioning an people were stuck up there for hours at a time!

    The use was poor and management took it down about six months ago or more. Eventually they plan on another type of ride. The rollercoaster was sold to a local collector Dr Lonnie Hammergron.
