If you're cheap like me, and obviously you are if you're frugal enough to be staying at the Stratosphere.

It will cost you $1.25 to take the CAT bus #108 Paradise from McCarran to the Stratosphere. It's 25 minutes by bus from the AP to the Strat.

At McCarran go to "Ground Level Transportation 0" to catch the bus. You could take the #109 Maryland Pkwy South bus to the SSTT and transfer to the Deuce(strip bus) but this way would cost you $3($2.50 for a 24hr CAT pass plus .50c for the transfer to the Deuce)

It's 4.95 miles from McCarran to the Stratosphere

Of course if you would rather, you could stand in the taxi line for an hour(or more) then pay $15-$20.

It's on the otherside of the strip. My guess about 20 bucks by taxi.

few miles. purchase tokens on the outside of the airport where the shuttles pick you up. I believe its $12 round trip per person. they will take you to your hotel and you call one day prior to your departure and they pick you up at your hotel at a specific time and take you to the airport. definitely less than a cab.

The distance is about five miles, and if the traffic isn't too heavy, a taxi ride would be roughly twenty minutes, at a cost of between $15 and $20. If you're not in a big hurry, there are shuttle buses that will take you to any hotel on the strip, including the Stratosphere, for $5 to $5.50. But it will be stop-and-go at numerous hotels, since the Strato is at the north end of the strip.
